The Civil Litigation Practice includes partners with substantial trial experience in general civil liability defense and subrogation matters

Our general civil liability defense engagements include products liability defense for a major garage door opener manufacturer. We successfully obtained summary judgment in Cook County, Illinois on a claim against the manufacturer for injuries arising from a homeowner’s attempted repair of the opener’s motor. We also handle retail and premises liability matters for a number of major retailers.

Our attorneys are experienced civil litigators. Two of our partners have a combined total of over 110 jury verdicts in the past several years. Our partners have tried wrongful death, serious personal injury and commercial dispute matters in state and federal courts. We also are engaged for civil subrogation and lien recovery in both general liability matters and workers’ compensation-related actions. We have successfully obtained over $1.4 million in third-party recoveries for one client.
