Overview
Fatimah Arshad (she/her) concentrates her practice in Workers’ Compensation law, bringing a strong foundation in health law, regulatory compliance, and employment law. She utilizes her knowledge in these intersections to craft and deliver thoughtful, client‑centered strategies that account for the medical, legal, and workplace dynamics unique to each matter.
Before joining the firm, Fatimah served as a student worker for the Beazley Institute for Health Law & Policy where she researched and developed curricula for health law courses. She also worked as a summer associate at a Chicago litigation firm, where she compiled legal research, drafted memorandums, motions, and deposition abstracts, attended trials and depositions, and collaborated with clients and stakeholders on active cases.
Fatimah originally gained her hands-on experience in healthcare law through externships with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the CDC, Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, and Triage Cancer. Her work included reviewing healthcare case law, assessing state Medicaid plans, conducting legal epidemiology research, and supporting individuals navigating insurance and employment law following health diagnoses. This experience now informs many facets of her workers’ compensation practice.
She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi.
