Overview


Lamar C. Brown concentrates his practice on employment and workers’ compensation matters, defending employers before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission throughout the State of Illinois and the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Lamar counsels clients on an array of workers’ compensation issues helping to mitigate and manage risk and exposure to avoid litigation. And when litigation proves inevitable, Lamar has experience as a courtroom advocate.

Prior to joining Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie, & Lowry, P.C., Lamar gained experience in various areas of the law as a solo practitioner. In addition, Lamar has experience in quasi-judicial proceedings acting as a Hearing Officer for the Cook County Electoral Board and Certified Mediator for the Center for Conflict Resolution.

While attending law school, Lamar was a member of UIC Law’s nationally recognized Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council where he participated in regional and national competitions. Lamar also served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable John Robert Blakey of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

In his free time, Lamar enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
