Save the Date – Illinois Self-Insurers’ Association (ISIA) Annual Meeting and Educational Seminar

On October 4^th and 5^th, the Illinois Self-Insurers’ Association (ISIA) will have the Annual Meeting and Educational Seminar at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook Hotel in Oak Brook, IL.

This year’s Annual Meeting is a special one as it represents the 40th Anniversary of the founding of the ISIA. The ISIA is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to representing and promoting the interests of self-insured and high-deductible employers in Illinois. In addition to the Annual Meeting, the ISIA also presents a 2-day workshop each Spring on the Nuts and Bolts of Illinois Workers’ Compensation.

This year’s Annual Meeting will include an update on legislation and appellate cases, presentations on new and innovative medical treatments of work injuries, a presentation on workplace violence, and an in-depth case analysis of a traumatic brain injury case that includes post-traumatic stress disorder. This case analysis will include medical experts addressing the medical care, treatment, and rehabilitation of the injury, as well as attorneys and an Arbitrator from the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission demonstrating the challenges these cases present from a litigation perspective.
