Andrea Hritz has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Night Lights as of January 2026. The nonprofit is dedicated to providing respite care for children with special needs and their neurotypical siblings.

Andrea first connected with Night Lights when she sought respite care for her daughter. Inspired by the organization’s mission, she introduced Night Lights to her local community and from then, her and her family have served as volunteers. Her advancement to a member of the board is rooted in a long personal and professional history of advocacy, caregiving, and community building.

Andrea concentrates her nursing practice in the Medicare Secondary Payer and workers’ compensation areas. As one of the first Medicare Set-Aside nurses in the industry, Andrea helped set the standard for life care planning in the workers’ compensation arena. She is a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner and Certified Medicare Secondary Payer with extensive experience analyzing medical records and projecting future medical needs for claimants.

Night Lights provides free, high-quality respite care for children from one month to 13 years old. The organization helps parents and caregivers take time to care for themselves by creating a safe and inclusive space for their children to receive compassionate care.
