Employment law is an evolving landscape of obligations on employers. Our team has public and private sector experience to serve clients with high-quality legal services, which are comprehensive and sensitive to their resources. We focus our practice on issues arising under federal, state, and local employment laws by serving the business needs of our clients in the following areas:

  • Litigation of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
  • Workplace investigations and counseling
  • Alternative dispute resolution
  • Policy and compliance review and risk assessment and prevention
  • Management and employee training

What We Do

For matters of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, we represent public and private sector clients before administrative agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, the Chicago Commission on Human Relations and the Cook County Commission on Human Rights. We handle charges of discrimination involving age, race, sex, disability, national origin, harassment, retaliation, and other civil claims before these administrative agencies in addition to Illinois federal and state courts.

In workplace investigations and counseling, our team explores allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other alleged violations of employment laws or employer policies.

For alternative dispute resolution, we represent public and private sector clients in mediation and settlement conferences in both Illinois federal and state courts and administrative agencies to enforce employment laws and ordinances.

In policy and compliance review and risk assessment and prevention, we draft employment handbooks, personnel codes, manuals, and related policies for clients.

Lastly, in matters of management and employee training, our team provides non-discrimination, anti-harassment and anti-retaliation training to senior management, human resources professionals, employees, and supervisors. We also provide workshops, individual training, and counseling on a variety of employment law developments, case management strategies, and related issues.
