Four Nyhan Attorneys to Speak and Moderate at the ISIA’s 46th Annual Meeting & Educational Seminar, Held Jointly with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce
Nyhan shareholders Amy Bilton and Bill Lowry and partners Lisa Azoory-Keller and Adam Cox will be presenting and moderating at the upcoming 46th Annual Workers’ Compensation Meeting & Educational Seminar, hosted jointly by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and the Illinois Self Insurers’ Association. The event will be at the Doubletree Hilton in Lisle on Wednesday, October 9th from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The seminar will feature workshops, presentations, and discussions to inform, educate, and assist employers with the most current information on workers’ compensation challenges.
- As the Executive Director of the ISIA, Adam will share opening remarks and introductions and will join Lisa in a case law update discussing some of the past year’s Appellate Court cases.
- Amy with lead Workshop #3 titled “The Great Obliteration: How the Death of Chevron Deference Could Change Workers’ Compensation Claims Forever” to discuss the Supreme Court’s overruling of Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council and its impact on claims across the country.
- Bill will moderate the panel discussion, “Illinois Workers’ Compensation Drivers…what they are and what changes are needed to make the system work better for all stakeholders,” to explore cost drivers in the system and thoughts on what potential changes will improve the system for employers and injured workers.
