Nyhan Selected as One of Chicago’s Best Places to Work for 2025; Crain’s Highlights Innovative Associate Training Strategies
Nyhan is thrilled to announce that our firm has been recognized as one of Crain’s Best Places to Work in Chicago for the second consecutive year, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining an excellent firm culture while providing exceptional legal services to our clients.
This recognition once again highlights Nyhan’s dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion; developing the next generation of leaders; and providing them with a flexible and supportive environment.
One firm member noted in their employee survey, “We aren’t a company or a law firm—we are a family first. Everyone matters, everyone is heard, and everyone is respected. The shareholders have figured out how to provide excellent representation to our clients while making everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and engaged.”
In the firm’s Best Places to Work spotlight, Nyhan’s associate training program was highlighted, demonstrating the firm’s commitment to “Gain, Train, and Retain” top legal talent.
Amy Bilton, Nyhan Vice President, described how the firm’s program differs from traditional ones by explaining, “We start with law students, and we don’t train them like clerks—we train them like attorneys. By the time they graduate and pass the bar, they are ready to hit the ground running.”
The firm’s flexible hybrid work model was highlighted for giving firm members a healthy work-life balance, as was the firm’s focus on transparency and open communication for creating a work environment where everyone can make an impact.
Partner Adam Cox emphasized the team dynamic that makes Nyhan feel like a family and contributes to the firm’s success: “A firm that prioritizes staff well-being isn’t just a better place to work—it’s a better place to represent our clients,” he said. “When our team feels supported and connected, that same collaboration and trust extends directly to the service we provide.”
This award recognizes excellence among privately and publicly owned businesses with at least 25 employees in the Chicagoland area. Honorees were selected based on a rigorous two-part evaluation process that included an employer questionnaire and a confidential employee survey used to evaluate the workplace experience and culture.
Nyhan is a dynamic, diverse, and dedicated community of experienced attorneys and support professionals who listen, pursue excellence, keep promises, and deliver immediate results related to Workers’ Compensation, Employment, Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance, as well as Civil Litigation and Employee Workers’ Compensation Fraud matters.
