Overview
L. Elizabeth Coppoletti focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, leveraging her experience in employer liability and trial and appellate practice to achieve favorable outcomes for her clients. She oversees the preparations of briefs and other filings at various levels of the appellate process and handles oral arguments at all judicial levels.
With over 30 years in the field of law, Elizabeth brings seasoned judgment and strategic advocacy to every stage of a workers’ compensation case. She previously served as a commissioner on the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, where she reviewed arbitrators’ decisions and resolved complex workers’ compensation disputes. She was appointed to the role by former Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner in 2017 and served until 2021. Prior to this work, she served Nyhan as a partner.
