Overview


Melinda Rowe-Sullivan (she/her) concentrates her practice in the area of workers’ compensation defense. She provides legal advice regarding compensability, claim valuation, and benefit determination, and manages complex disputes in medical evidence depositions and trials.

Melinda draws extensive know-how from having served as an Arbitrator at the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission in Chicago from 2015-2021, presiding over workers’ compensation cases and authoring judicial decisions based on the evidence presented by the parties. She also previously worked with other Illinois-based firms focusing on workers’ compensation defense, and earlier in her legal career practiced in the areas of personal injury litigation and healthcare advisory services.

While in law school, Melinda worked as a judicial law clerk in the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit and as a law clerk at an Illinois firm, drafting memoranda, motions, briefs, and pleadings, and conducting legal research.
