Michael Doerries focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation, bringing nearly 40 years of experience to his clients’ issues. He has defended clients of all sizes across a variety of industries, including hospitals, staffing agencies, municipalities, and manufacturers. His extensive trial experience and dedication to expediting claims make him a trusted advocate for his clients, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of workers’ compensation claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a worker’s compensation defense partner at a Chicago firm, taking cases to trial as well as providing preventative counseling to mitigate employers’ exposure to risk. His defense work with municipal clients has granted him a comprehensive understanding of the pension codes that govern the benefits payable to Illinois firefighters and police. This specialized knowledge enhances his ability to provide tailored defense for his clients, cementing his reputation as a leader in workers’ compensation law.
In his time outside of work, Michael volunteers at St. Michael Church in Wheaton, IL and is an Ordained Deacon in the Diocese of Joliet.
