Overview

Nancy Wilensky (she/her) concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation matters, advising employers in all phases of the claim process including settlement, litigation, and appeal. With extensive experience resolving complex workers’ compensation claims, Nancy represents clients ranging from small organizations with only a few claims a year to larger organizations experiencing workers’ compensation injuries almost daily.

She approaches the cases she works on in a collaborative manner, viewing much of her defense work as teamwork and understanding the value of different ideas and perceptions that improve the probability of a positive outcome. She works directly with clients to bring their matter to resolution by identifying creative and unique solutions based on the client’s individual needs.

Nancy began her workers’ compensation career in the City of Chicago’s Workers’ Compensation Division, handling approximately one-fourth of the City’s workers’ compensation active claims. She tried her first case within two weeks and has been defending employers ever since.

In addition to her workers’ compensation practice, Nancy has experience with civil litigation including toxic torts and general negligence claims.

Outside of the office, Nancy enjoys spending time with her two rescue cats, Lucy and Kit Kat, and her husband, Chris.
