Cody D. Hartman
Cody Hartman is an associate with Nyhan Bambrick Kinzie and Lowry. Raised among a family of tradesmen, it was a logical decision to gravitate towards an occupation of building. Cody has worked in several facets of construction inclusive of residential construction, light remodeling, welding (ultimately obtaining certificates in SMAW and MIG), paving, and concrete construction.
Amidst the Financial Crisis, Cody returned to formal education where he received a full scholarship at Aurora University. While at Aurora University, Cody served as president of Delta mu Delta, an honor society for business students. Cody was also involved in various other honor societies such as Omicron Delta Kappa, and the National Leadership Honor Society. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree, summa cum laude, with a double major/double minor in business administration, management and accounting.
Following undergraduate studies, Cody attended John Marshall Law School where he worked at the school’s Veterans’ Legal Support Center & Clinic. In this capacity Cody was able to assist veterans in their appeals for denied benefits.
Today, Cody assists with Illinois employers when employees are hurt on the job. In addition to his practice before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Cody has worked with several small businesses navigating Illinois worker’s compensation insurance laws. Since the start of his career, he’s been known for a “can-do” spirit and has developed a practice of resolving complicated cases and situations.
When not in the service of Illinois Employers, Cody enjoys being with his family and remodeling his 1882 Victorian home.
