Nyhan Welcomes Back L. Elizabeth Coppoletti as Partner

Nyhan is thrilled to welcome L. Elizabeth Coppoletti back to the firm’s workers’ compensation group as Partner.

Beth brings over 30 years of legal experience in workers’ compensation and civil litigation matters to the firm, along with the insight and strategic approach needed to address complex legal issues. Her seasoned judgment and deep industry knowledge are valuable assets in advising clients. 

Beth previously served as a partner at Nyhan until 2017, when she was appointed to the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission (IWCC) by former Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner. From 2017 until 2021, she served as a commissioner with the IWCC, reviewing arbitrators’ decisions and resolving disputed workers’ compensation claims.

Beth earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago in 1993 and received her B.A. in Political Science and Business from Vanderbilt University in 1990. In 2023, she completed a M.A.T in Early Childhood Education at National Louis University.
