Nyhan Welcomes Meredith Mittelbrun as Associate

Nyhan is pleased to announce the addition of Associate Meredith Mittelbrun. Meredith concentrates her practice on workers’ compensation defense and brings a multifaceted legal background that includes workers’ compensation, insurance defense, civil litigation defense, administrative law, and nonprofit corporate law. She leverages this experience to deliver an informed, practical, and well-rounded approach to find solutions to complex legal issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Meredith practiced at civil litigation and insurance defense firms, handling matters across workers’ compensation, insurance defense, medical malpractice, and personal injury. Her experience includes appearing in court and before the Illinois’ Workers’ Compensation Commission, drafting routine and dispositive motions, managing written discovery, preparing settlement documents, negotiating resolutions, and analyzing medical records, billing, and calculating compensation rates. She has also assisted with numerous depositions, hearings, and mediations.

Meredith earned her J.D., cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law, where she served on the DePaul Law Review and received multiple CALI Awards. She received her B.A. in English Literature, with a minor in Spanish Language, summa cum laude, from DePaul University.
