Overview
Meredith Mittelbrun (she/her) focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense, leveraging her diverse background in areas such as workers’ compensation, insurance defense, civil litigation defense, and nonprofit corporate law to deliver unique and innovative solutions to complex legal issues. She has deep experience analyzing medical records and bills, corresponding with the court, clients, and opposing counsel, and calculating compensation rates.
Before joining the firm, Meredith served as an associate for civil litigation and insurance defense firms, drafting motions, briefs, settlements, and discovery disclosures, attending numerous depositions, hearings, and mediations, and negotiating settlements.
While in law school, Meredith practiced as a law clerk for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and the Chicago History Museum. In these roles, she gained experience in prosecution, licensure, investigations, and administrative law as well as intestate succession, FOIA requests, privacy law, and deaccessioning compliance.
