Nyhan Celebrates Elevations of Daniel Simones and Michelle Hitsch

Nyhan is pleased to announce the elevation of Daniel Simones to Shareholder and Michelle Hitsch to Partner.

Dan graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 2008, joined Nyhan in 2013 as an Associate, and was promoted to Partner in 2015. Throughout his career, Dan has focused on workers’ compensation defense matters and Medicare Secondary Payer Act advocacy, providing crucial legal advice and assisting a wide-range of clients in achieving their goals through settlements and, when needed, strong trial defense.

As a Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional – Fellow, Medicare Set-Aside Consultant Certified (MSCC), and a nationally recognized speaker, Dan shares key insights with organizations such as the National Business Institute, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals.

As a Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional, Michelle concentrates her practice on Medicare Secondary Payer cases and aims to clarify Medicare Set-Aside arrangements and conditional payment processes for her clients. Michelle earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007 and joined Nyhan as an Associate in 2017. Since then, she has contributed a valuable blend of legal and practical experience to the firm’s team.
