Four Nyhan Law Clerks Admitted to Illinois Bar and Elevated to Associates Within the Firm

Nyhan is proud to welcome Josh Dela Pena, Bianca Han, Isiaha Kyles, and Dominic Zumpano to the firm as associates. The four served as law clerks within the firm, assisting in research, case preparation, and attending pretrial hearings and oral arguments before being elevated to associates. From this time, they gained considerable knowledge of the firm’s clients and hands-on experience of the inner workings of workers’ compensation law, which they all practice in.

Josh utilizes his experience in conducting legal research and assisting in discovery, motions, pleadings, and court filings to help clients achieve favorable outcomes. Prior to joining Nyhan, Josh served as a student attorney for a medical-legal partnership clinic at Illinois Law, practiced as a student intern for the U.S. Department of Labor, was a law clerk for the Federal Civil Rights Litigation division of the City of Chicago, and gained valuable experience at an employee benefits firm.

He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law and received his B.A. from the University of Florida.

Bianca conducts comprehensive legal research and provides support in all aspects of the pretrial process. While in law school, she served the Family Advocacy Clinic as a guardian ad litem, in which she represented children and parents in the juvenile abuse and neglect system.

Bianca earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and received her B.S. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is fluent in Romanian and conversational in Spanish.

Isiaha utilizes his analytic background and problem-solving capabilities to navigate complex legal issues with precision, conduct thorough legal research, and support trial preparation. While in law school, Isiaha was a member of the Constance Baker Motley Regional Mock Trial team, where he earned recognition as a 2024 Best Advocate at the Chicago Cup competition.

Isiaha earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and received his B.S. from Hope College.

Dominic has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution, arbitration, and trial procedures, which he utilizes to help employers navigate unique and complex legal issues.

Prior to joining Nyhan, Dom served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Eve Reilly within the General Chancery of the Circuit Court of Cook County, as well as a law clerk for both the Cook and Dekalb County State Attorney’s Offices.

Dom earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and received his B.B.A., cum laude, from Belmont University. He is proficient in Spanish.
